This is a wonderful area for hill walking and bird watching for the non-sporting guest. The West Highland Way runs through Auch and is ideal for those seeking to enjoy a more leisurely stroll. For the more adventurous the estates offer seven munros, including the impressive Beinn Dorain which dominates Auch Estate.

Glen Coe, one of the most picturesque glens in Scotland is close by and ideal for walking, mountain climbing and skiing in the winter months. Indeed, the ski lifts at Glen Coe are open all year round, enabling visitors stunning views of the area at all times.

Oban is approximately 40 miles away to the west, it is "The Gateway to the Isles" with fantastic ferry trips to the Islands in the Inner & Outer Hebrides. Also Day trips to the Islands of Mull and Iona and some of the smaller islands around Oban such as Kerrera & Lismore. Oban also has it's own Distillery and 18 hole golf course.
Fort William is approximately 40 miles away to the north, "The Outdoor Capital of the UK" has much to offer including one of Scotland's finest scenic rail journey's from Fort Willliam to Mallaig on the Jacobite steam train, wonderful mountain scenery around Ben Nevis, great activities from walking, climbing, go-karting etc. to a range of water sports. In winter Fort William has super facilities for skiing and snowboarding at the Nevis Range, Aonach Mor.
